About the director
A native New Yorker, Valerie Kontakos graduated from New York University, worked as a sound editor, and has served as deputy director of the Hellenic Foundation in NYC, where she started the NYC Greek Film Festival. For over a decade, she has been on the board of directors of the Greek Cinematheque. She has directed three previous features: A Quality of Light, Who’s on First?, and Mana.
