The Man With The Answers
Victor is a twenty-something ex-diving champion now working in a furniture factory and living with his sick grandmother in a seaside town in Greece. Distraught after her death, he decides to dust off her old car and travel to Germany to visit his estranged mother. On the ferry to Italy, he meets Matthias, a talkative, inquisi-tive young German who is on his way home. Matthias persuades Victor to take him along and as they drive north, Victor’s uptight, repressive personality clashes with the more free-spirited Matthias. But they soon find common emotional ground as their summer road trip takes unexpected turns. A tender story of self-discovery, love and family, in its many forms.

About the director
Stelios Kammitsis was born and raised in Cyprus. He studied film at SUNY Purchase in New York. His political documentary THE 25th MEMBER, represented his University at the Student Academy Awards. He worked alongside Palme d’Or winner Mr. Theo Angelopoulos in the pre-production of his film THE DUST OF TIME. In 2008, he worked as an assistant director to Mr. Dimitris Papaioannou, the director of the Athens 2004 Olympics opening ceremony and the Show, played in Athens and Beijing during the Olympic Games. In 2015 he wrote, produced and directed his short film DOWNHILL that participated in various film festivals winning Best Screenplay, and Best Film with social context at DramaIFF and Best Cinematography at Cyprus IFF.
