On May 4 in Los Angeles at the Wilshire Country Club, 6 pm, we will hold a Benefit Event for our new initiative, the Global Greek Film Initiative (GGFI), co-hosted by GGFI Trustee Theane Evangelis and Jim Kousoulas. The event will be in support of the Global Greek Film Initiative, to meet and mingle with our community and learn more about the exciting and impactful programs we are instituting and expanding upon, including the 17th Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF). There will be dinner, live entertainment and complimentary valet parking.

The Greek Rebetiko Trio presents an authentic and captivating repertoire of folk music in the idioms of “Rebetiko” and “Laiko.” Founded by Dimitris Mann in Boston in 2014, the group now calls Los Angeles home and continues to thrill audiences across the United States. Featuring the exceptional talents of Taso Comanescu and the latest addition, Eirini Nomikou, The Greek Rebetiko Trio has performed over 150 shows in festivals, concert halls, and live venues. From the Montana Folk Festival to the Friar’s Club in New York, their performances have garnered critical acclaim from audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
