Orfeas Peretzis studied Psychology at Stirling University (Scotland), Film & Video Directing at UCA (UK), and Screenwriting at the London Film School. Recently he completed the essay film IODINE: Greece on the ruins of Missolonghi, which won the Audience Award at the International Competition FILM FORWARD of Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (2022). He has directed & written 6 short films, a feature documentary, docudramas and doc-series for the television. He has won Best Film from the Hellenic Film Critics Association (2014), a 1st Prize from the Royal Television Society (UK), and a 1st Prize at the Drama International Film Festival in Greece. He is a 2019 Berlinale Talent Alumni and Artworks Scholar (Stavros Niarchos Foundation).
