Kostis Charamountanis is a young and promising Greek director. The fact that he is self-taught and has worked as an actor, music composer, sound designer, editor, second assistant director and production assistant in theatre, television and film only partly account for his originality. His films (six shorts and three video clips) are refreshingly experimental and while attempting to playfully re-engage with cinematic narrative. With a few awards already under his belt—at the Athens International Film Festival and Drama International Short Film Festival— the SNF ARTWORKS Fellow (2020) has already completed his first feature film entitled: Kyuka—Before Summer ‘s End, which was produced by Heretic.
