Don’t Laugh (They’ll See You) is a dramatic comedy that follows Maria, a woman in her forties, during the first days after she discovers she is pregnant.
Maria, who lives on an island, learns she is pregnant when she visits her religious sister in Athens for their mother’s memorial service. The unexpected pregnancy at forty, along with an unexpected encounter, makes her realize that only by coming to terms with her choices can she “laugh, no matter what the world says.”
