Based on the classic fairy tale The Three Little Pigs, The Black Cities takes a modern approach to the role that power has played throughout the world’s history. Three little pigs abandon their family and homeland due to war and arrive in a new place where an absolute ruler, the wolf, dominates. Under the constant threat of power, the violence of society, and the fear of strangers, the three pigs endure many hardships, eventually manage to react, and ultimately overthrow the totalitarian regime. Now, they have the opportunity to build a new city. How will they react when the lambs—victims of another war—arrive as refugees in their new homeland?
