Sotiris Goritsas was born in Athens and studied directing at the London International Film School. From 1985 to 1988, he made 25 documentaries for the national GreeK TV channel. His filmography includes Despina (1990), From the Snow (1993), Balkanizateur (1997), and Welcome to All Saints (2011).
