Over the course of a night, a storyteller captures bar patrons with his tale of mysterious magic and petty crime. As new customers enter the bar and the story unfolds, we dive into the imaginations of his audience to reveal unique versions of the oddball characters the rhapsodist has created.

About the director
Nikolai Hamel grew up in the US. He taught English in China before moving to the UK in 2012 to get his master’s degree in filmmaking. While there, Nikolai befriended Greek filmmaker Faidra Tsolina and actor Prometheus Aleiferopoulos. Together they’ve made several short films before working on The Rhapsodist.
