​In the 1990s the island of Leros became famous for the wrong reasons: an international outcry concerning the infamous psychiatric asylum. The psychiatric reform that followed impacted the whole island.

Born in Thessaloniki, studied Computer Engineering in London and Film Directing in Athens. She has worked in production management for documentaries, TV series and feature films and has directed short fiction films and documentaries. Her first feature documentary, “Portolago-Ghosts in the Aegean” (2017) won numerous awards in international film festivals.
