In collaboration with Greek Documentary Association (Hellasdoc), we will hold an online interactive webinar aiming at elucidating the American documentary place. American representatives of the documentary market will explore potential US interest for Mediterranean storytelling in general and Greece’s rich historical and cultural themes in particular. The speakers will address current trends in the American nonfiction market and international acquisitions in reference to themes and perspectives that can successfully cross cultural and commercial barriers, offering practical insights on positioning stories as well as building partnerships that strengthen bilateral collaborations. While the panel discussion is designed for documentary creators and producers seeking to enter the American documentary landscape, it will be free and open to students and the general public.
