Recent television shows such as Vasilis’ Kekatos MILKY WAY, Christopher Papakaliatis’ MAESTRO or Dorothea Paschalidou’s ZOE as well as international series produced in Greece such as TEHRAN (Apple TV) or SO LONG, MARIANNE are testament to the fact that television production is on the rise in the country. With the support of the National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication (EKOME) television production remains a new creative and economic frontier for Greece offering a host of opportunities to be explored by domestic and international teams.

In this roundtable discussion we bring Greek and American television producers and creatives together for an informative dialogue that will illumine their respective experiences, similarities and differences, ultimately leading toward a path to high quality television production in Greece.

The event is sponsored by ERTFLIX International – a streaming platform created by Greek public television ERT – which has forayed into television production with such popular series and other works as THE WILDER, written and directed by Yorgos Gkikapeppas, and ACT LIKE YOU’RE ASLEEP (Best TV Series Award at the 18th Seoul International Drama Awards 2023), written by Gianni Skaragas.
