ANIMAL – Opening Night
We are proud to open LAGFF with Sofia Exarchou’s ANIMAL. The film got the top prize, Golden Alexander, at the last Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF). Sofia Exarchou is to attend her US Premiere at LAGFF and dialogue with our audience.
The animateurs of an island tourist resort prepare for the busy summer season. Kalia is the leader of the pack. Paper decors, glossy costumes and dance shows fill the stage. As summer intensifies and the work pressure builds up, their nights turn awry and Kalia’s struggle is revealed in the darkness. But the show must go on.

The screening will be preceded by red carpet and followed by a reception.
